Spirit Airlines Files Restructuring Plan, Targets Emergence from Chapter 11 by Early Summer
Spirit Airlines has taken a major step toward exiting Chapter 11 by filing a restructuring support agreement and reorganization plan in a New York bankruptcy court. The airline plans to reduce debt, optimize its fleet and network, and expand premium seating while aiming to emerge as a stronger low-cost carrier by early summer.
